Mipcom: ITV Studios Finland Acquires Local Right to Hit Format ‘The Final Four’ (EXCLUSIVE)

ITV Studios Finland has acquired the local rights to “The Final Four,” the hit primetime singing competition format which is being developed and distributed by Armoza.

The deal was signed on Tuesday at Mipcom. Armoza Format just announced few days ago the sale of “The Final Four”‘s format to Conent Media who will produce a version for New Zealand and pan-Asia. The show is currently in production in other major territories.

The innovative format sees four finalists of a singing competition selected by a trio of judges at the start of the series. In every episode, talented hopefuls can steal a seat from one of the final four via a dedicated app.

“Starting the show with four finalists already picked is different than anything I’ve ever seen before and by bringing new talent in every week, we can keep the tension up all season- it’s new and fresh,” said Pete Paavolainen, CEO of ITV Studios Finland, “

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, said “the global appeal of ‘The Final Four’ (underscores the fact) that many broadcasters are ready to update the music competition genre in new and unique ways.”

“We are happy to see so many in the industry want to join us on this exciting evolution and we are thrilled to be working with ITV Studios in Finland on this deal,” added Armoza.
