Delayed Viewing Ratings: CBS Claims Most Top Spots in Week 4

CBS claimed the most spots in the delayed viewing ratings top 25 charts for Week 4 of the broadcast season, which began on Oct. 16.

In the key adults 18-49 demographic, CBS took eight of the top spots, with the highest-rated of which being “The Big Bang Theory” (2.8 to a 4.4). “Criminal Minds” (1.0 to a 2.1) also cracked the top 10. The network also laid claims to spots 20-25 in Week 4, with “Scorpion” (0.8 to a 1.5), “Blue Bloods” (0.9 to a 1.6), “Hawaii Five-O” (1.0 to a 1.7), “NCIS: New Orleans” (1.1 to a 1.8), and “SEAL Team” (1.1 to a 1.8) all improving. NBC and ABC both claimed seven of the top 25 spots, Fox had two, and The CW had one.

In total viewers, CBS claimed 11 of the top spots, with “Big Bang Theory” again being the network’s top performer, rising 35 percent compared to its Live+Same Day haul. “NCIS,” “NCIS: New Orleans,” and “Blue Bloods” also took spots in the top 10, rising by at least 30 percent. ABC had five of the top 25 shows in the measure, while NBC had seven, and Fox again had two.

Regardless, “This Is Us” and “The Good Doctor” remained top dogs in both measures. In the demo, “This Is Us” was up 79 percent in the demo, rising from a 2.9 to a 5.2. “The Good Doctor” rose 105 percent from a 2.0 to a 4.1. In total viewers, “The Good Doctor” went from 10.6 million viewers to 17.96 million for a 69 percent increase. “This Is Us” rose from 10.65 million to 16.97 million for a 59 percent increase.
