Endeavor Content will handle international sales and offer advisory services to Chernin Entertainment, which will handle production of all projects. The pact is billed as an effort to “leverage the global market opportunity to collaborate with top-tier creative talent for premium content with international appeal.”
The partnership with Peter Chernin’s TV banner is the first long-range agreement with a producer unveiled since Endeavor Content was formed earlier this month. The new wing brings together the international TV sales effort that had been handled under the IMG brand by partner Chris Rice with the independent film finance and consulting services spearheaded by Graham Taylor.
“This is a new, leaner studio model with state of the art distribution focused on today’s evolving global marketplace,” said Chernin, who is CEO of Chernin Group. “The partnership with Endeavor Content will allow us to dedicate the bulk of our capital to championing artists and their creative vision.”
Chernin’s endorsement of Endeavor Content’s model of offering prospective partners an alternative to producing through the pipelines of Hollywood’s major studios will surely resonate in the industry.
