Warner/Chappell Music publishing announced the appointment of Santiago Menéndez-Pidal as Managing Director of the company’s Spanish office, effective November 15. Menéndez-Pidal will work closely with Gustavo Menendez, Warner/Chappell president, Latin America, and report to chairman/CEO Jon Platt. He previously worked at Warner/Chappell Spain from 1996 until 2003.Menéndez-Pidal joins from Sony Music Spain, where he served as A&R Director for the last four years, signing artists including Dvicio, Abraham Mateo, Andrés Suárez, C Tangana, Melendi and Rozalén. Over the past two decades, which also included roles at BMG Music, EMI and Spanish indie publisher Clippers, he has worked with many of Spain’s top artists and songwriters including Dani Martín, India Martínez, Leiva and Joaquín Sabina.
