Beck, Mumford & Sons, More to Headline iHeartRadio’s First ‘ALTer EGO’ Concert (EXCLUSIVE)

iHeartMedia today announced the inaugural “iHeartRadio ALTer EGO” concert, which will feature Beck, Mumford & Sons, Cage the Elephant, The National, Spoon, Walk the Moon, Dashboard Confessional and more performing at the Forum in Los Angeles on Jan. 19, 2018.

The objective is simply “to celebrate everything alternative rock.”

“We’re extremely excited to add iHeartRadio ALTer EGO to our amazing lineup of world-class iHeartRadio events,” said Tom Poleman, chief programming officer for iHeartMedia. “We’ve seen the incredible response from fans every time our alternative rock performers hit the stage at our legendary iHeartRadio Music Festival and know that listeners across the country have waited for an event like this for some time now. It’s going to be an incredible night.”

iHeartRadio ALTer EGO is the newest in iHeartMedia’s roster of major concert events, which includes the iHeartRadio Music Festival; the iHeartSummer’17 Weekend by AT&T; the national iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Concert Tour; the iHeartCountry Festival; the iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina; and the iHeartRadio Music Awards.

“Alternative rock is experiencing an incredible renaissance,” said John Sykes, president of entertainment enterprises for iHeartMedia. “Young bands in their 20s are making music with the same energy and power of the bands like U2, Depeche Mode and REM, that helped to create the format.”

Beginning December 26, iHeartRadio will launch a nationwide promotion to give Alt-Rock fans across the country the opportunity to win a trip to Los Angeles to attend the festival.

Listeners will have access to a limited number of tickets to iHeartRadio ALTer EGO through a Alt 98-7’s The LIST Pre-Sale beginning Wednesday, October 18 at 10 a.m. PT through October 20 at 10 a.m. PT or while supplies last. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 20 at 1 p.m. PT. For more information, visit iHeartRadio.com/alterego.
