Halloween is almost upon us, and as we approach that holiday — and the end of the year — let’s take a look back at some of the horror gems from 2017.

“Get Out” kicked off the year with a bang, garnering solid box office numbers, glowing reviews, and even Oscar buzz (a general rarity for horror films) with its racial commentary and touches of humor from director Jordan Peele. But before that movie hit theaters, we also had M. Night Shyamalan’s latest, “Split,” his surprise sequel to “Unbreakable” and worthy return to form for the director.

Speaking of sequels, “Annabelle: Creation” provided a fright over the summer as the prequel to 2014’s “Annabelle” and the fourth installment in the overall “Conjuring” series. It proved to be a box office hit before “It” arrived in theaters and became a phenomenon in September, becoming the highest-grossing horror film of all time and provided inspiration for countless Halloween costumes, bringing back Pennywise the Clown.

On the more unconventional front, the year also gave us Darren Aronofsky’s “Mother!” starring Jennifer Lawrence… and all the debates that came along with the extremely divisive thriller.

Which of these horror movies is your favorite of 2017 so far? Weigh in below!

UPDATE: This poll has been closed, with “Split” taking the top spot.
