Dutch Features Global Entertainment has picked up worldwide rights to Mikkel Serup’s Danish boxing drama “Pound for Pound.”

“Pound for Pound” is produced by Lea Lobger at Denmark’s Nimbus Film (“Submarino,” “The Bridge”). The movie was released theatrically in Denmark in June.

” ‘Pound for Pound’ is our first Scandinavian title, and we hope it will be the first of many. This incredibly strong film has proven itself in Danish cinemas and we are sure this touching story will appeal to audiences worldwide,” said Dutch Features CEO Pim van Collem.

Inspired by actual events, “Pound for Pound” of legendary boxer Jorgen Hansen, who at 34 needs sees his career slump until he encounters a young African boxer, Ayub Kalule.

At the AFM, Dutch Features will also be shopping Jon Karthaus’s “Bella Donna,” Steffen Haars and Flip van der Kuil’s screwball hit comedy “Ron Goossens, Low-Budget Stuntman” and Mark de Cloe’s crime drama “Silk Road” with Olivia Lonsdale.
