Clay Epstein’s Film Mode Entertainment has picked up international sales rights to Ron Perlman-starring “The Escape of Prisoner 614.” North American rights are handled by CAA.

The comedy-drama, directed by Zach Golden, involves two former sheriff’s deputies chasing after an escaped prisoner in the hopes of getting their jobs back. Now in post-production, it co-stars “Martin Starr, from “Knocked Up.” Production is by Jordan Beckerman, Jordan Yale Levine, and Shaun Sanghani.

Film Mode will present first footage of the movie at the American Film Market this week, alongwith promotional reel for Terence Stamp-starring “Viking Destiny.”

Adventure film “Viking destiny” centers on a young Norse girl, the rightful heir to the Viking kingdom, who is banished after she’s framed for the murder of her father, the king. It was written and directed by David L.G. Hughes, the film explores the legendary crusades of Scandinavian explorers.
Film Mode’s recent titles include “Sugar Mountain” starring Jason Momoa, Catherine Keener-starring “Little Pink House,” and James Caan-starring “The Good Neighbor.”

Company president, Epstein, is vice chairman and secretary of IFTA. He will moderate a panel on working with sales agents during the AFM.
