As senior VP of digital, Danielson will oversee all creative and editorial for the cabler’s digital content. She’ll also be tasked with coordinating Comedy Central’s digital strategy with larger company-wide initiatives at Viacom. She reports to Josh Line, exec VP of marketing and creative.
Danielson had been with Broadway Video since 2001, getting her start as an assistant to Lorne Michaels. She helped launch the company’s Above Average digital comedy studio and had steered its operations as president since 2012.
Danielson “brings industry-leading experience in the digital space and possesses a creative vision that has led to longstanding success producing award-winning comedy across linear and digital platforms with Broadway Video and Above Average,” said Line. “Her passion for comedy matches ours and she shares the same appreciation for the sharp comedic voices, innovation and experimentation that have so successfully built the Comedy Central brand.”
