NBC led a sleepy Labor Day with a dominant “American Ninja Warrior” from 8-10 p.m., although the competition show was still down versus last week’s score with a 1.5 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic and 5.8 million viewers. That was followed by “Running Wild with Bear Grylls,” which earned a 1.0 rating and 3.3 million viewers at 10 p.m.

ABC’s “Bachelor in Paradise” was close behind “Ninja Warrior” with a 1.4 rating and 5 million viewers, followed by a new episode of “Mistresses,” which notched a 0.5 in the demo and 2.6 million viewers. Fox aired a new episode of “So You Think You Can Dance” from 8-10 p.m., scoring a 0.5 and 2.4 million viewers, while CBS and CW were in repeats for the night.

Overall, NBC averaged a 1.4 rating in adults 18-49 for the night, followed by ABC’s 1.1, CBS’ 0.7, Fox’s 0.5 and The CW’s 0.3.
