With local NFL preseason games airing across the broadcast networks on Sept. 1, CBS’ “Big Brother” easily won Thursday night.

While all numbers are subject to adjustments thanks to football preemptions, the reality competition nabbed a 2.3 rating in adults 18-49 and 7.7 million viewers at 9 p.m., with ABC’s “BattleBots” finale standing as the only other original show of the night, earning a 1.4 rating and 5.6 million viewers from 8-10 p.m.

Pending updates, CBS won the night with a 1.8 rating in the demo and 6.9 million viewers. ABC followed with a 1.3 rating and 5.2 million viewers, while Fox also scored a 1.3 in the demo and 5 million watchers. NBC notched a 1.2 rating and 4.5 million viewers, while The CW brought up the rear with a 0.4 rating and 1.5 million viewers.

The regular NFL season begins September 8, kicking off with the Denver Broncos hosting the Carolina Panthers.
