TV Ratings: ‘American Ninja Warrior’ and ‘Bachelorette’ Tie to Top Monday

Unscripted TV topped Monday this week, with ABC’s “Bachelorette” and NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior” standing as the top shows of the night, tying with a 1.9 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic.

The Bachelorette” dipped two-tenths from last week’s rating against the Olympic swimming trials in the 8 p.m. hour, which notched a 1.2 demo score. Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” was up a tick to a 0.9 versus last week, while CBS and CW aired reruns from 8-10 p.m.

At 9 p.m., Fox’s “Houdini and Doyle” was even with last week’s airing, matching a 0.4 despite competition from “Ninja Warrior,” which shifted back an hour from 9-11 p.m. to make room for the Olympic trials. At 10 p.m., ABC’s “Mistresses” scored a 0.7, with CBS’ “BrainDead” stabilizing following last week’s dip, maintaining its score of 0.5.

NBC won the night among the networks, scoring a 1.7 demo rating and 5.8 million viewers overall and just topping ABC’s 1.5 score and 5.7 million viewers. CBS notched a 0.7 in adults 18-49 and 4 million viewers, leading Fox’s 0.6 rating and 2.5 million viewers. With a night of reruns, The CW earned a 0.4 and 1.0 million viewers.
