Unscripted TV topped Monday this week, with ABC’s “Bachelorette” and NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior” standing as the top shows of the night, tying with a 1.9 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic.
“The Bachelorette” dipped two-tenths from last week’s rating against the Olympic swimming trials in the 8 p.m. hour, which notched a 1.2 demo score. Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” was up a tick to a 0.9 versus last week, while CBS and CW aired reruns from 8-10 p.m.
At 9 p.m., Fox’s “Houdini and Doyle” was even with last week’s airing, matching a 0.4 despite competition from “Ninja Warrior,” which shifted back an hour from 9-11 p.m. to make room for the Olympic trials. At 10 p.m., ABC’s “Mistresses” scored a 0.7, with CBS’ “BrainDead” stabilizing following last week’s dip, maintaining its score of 0.5.
NBC won the night among the networks, scoring a 1.7 demo rating and 5.8 million viewers overall and just topping ABC’s 1.5 score and 5.7 million viewers. CBS notched a 0.7 in adults 18-49 and 4 million viewers, leading Fox’s 0.6 rating and 2.5 million viewers. With a night of reruns, The CW earned a 0.4 and 1.0 million viewers.
