Even without the added ratings boost of the Olympics, NBC still dominated primetime on the first Monday following the Rio Games, with a new episode of “American Ninja Warrior” easily winning the evening of August 22 — notching a 1.9 rating in adults 18-49 and 7 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m.

ABC’s “Bachelor in Paradise” wasn’t far behind, scoring a season-high 1.6 rating in the demo and 5.2 million viewers in the same two-hour slot, while Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” brought up the rear with a 0.6 rating and 2.6 million watchers. CBS and The CW were in repeats for the night.

At 10 p.m., NBC once again led the way with “Running Wild with Bear Grylls” earning a 1.3 in adults 18-49 and 4.1 million viewers, easily outpacing ABC’s “Mistresses” (0.6 rating, 2.5 million).

For the night, NBC averaged a 1.7 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic and 6.01 million viewers overall, followed by ABC’s 1.2 (4.3 million viewers), CBS’ 0.7 (4 million), Fox’s 0.6 (2.6 million) and The CW’s 0.3 (1.2 million).
