TV Ratings: ‘American Ninja Warrior’ Reruns Tie ‘MasterChef’ to Win Wednesday

Even in repeats, NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior” stayed dominant on Wednesday night, tying with a new episode of Fox’s “MasterChef” at 8 p.m. — both earned a 1.2 rating in adults 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers — and outpacing the rival network’s “Wayward Pines” at 9 p.m. (0.7 in the demo, 2.5 million viewers).

NBC won the night in the adults 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with a 1.1 score and 4.3 million watchers, edging ahead of Fox’s 1.0 demo score and 3.4 million viewers. ABC notched a 0.9 and 3.4 million viewers overall, with CBS coming fourth in the demo with a 0.7 (but squeezing ahead of Fox and ABC in total viewers, drawing 4.2 million). The CW kept the lights on with a 0.2 demo score and around a million viewers for the night.

With ABC, CBS and The CW in repeats, “MasterChef,” “Pines” and “The Night Shift” were the night’s lone originals. “The Night Shift” improved a tenth over last week’s demo score, nabbing a 1.0 rating and 4.5 million viewers.
