Even in repeats, NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior” stayed dominant on Wednesday night, tying with a new episode of Fox’s “MasterChef” at 8 p.m. — both earned a 1.2 rating in adults 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers — and outpacing the rival network’s “Wayward Pines” at 9 p.m. (0.7 in the demo, 2.5 million viewers).
NBC won the night in the adults 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with a 1.1 score and 4.3 million watchers, edging ahead of Fox’s 1.0 demo score and 3.4 million viewers. ABC notched a 0.9 and 3.4 million viewers overall, with CBS coming fourth in the demo with a 0.7 (but squeezing ahead of Fox and ABC in total viewers, drawing 4.2 million). With ABC, CBS and The CW in repeats, “MasterChef,” “Pines” and “The Night Shift” were the night’s lone originals. “The Night Shift” improved a tenth over last week’s demo score, nabbing a 1.0 rating and 4.5 million viewers.
