‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’ ‘Penn & Teller,’ ‘Masters of Illusion’ Renewed by CW

The CW has renewed unscripted series “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” “Penn & Teller: Fool Us,” and “Masters of Illusion,” the network announced Monday. The shows will return for their traditional summer runs on the broadcaster in 2017.

Hosted by Aisha Tyler and starring Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady and Colin Mochrie, “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” will return for a fifth season. Hailing from Angst Productions and Hat Trick Productions, the improv-comedy series is executive produced by Dan Patterson, Mark Leveson, Jimmy Mulville, Stiles, Brady and Mochrie. It was created by Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson.

Heading into its fourth season, “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” star Penn & Teller in a competition show in which magicians from around the world visit Las Vegas and attempt to fool the titular duo. The show is created and produced by 117 Productions and September Films, and executive produced by Penn Jillette, Teller, Peter Adam Golden, and Andrew Golder. The show is hosted by actress Alyson Hannigan.

“Masters of Illusion,” hosted by actor Dean Cain, a talent show featuring world-renowned magicians, heads into its fourth season on the CW. The series is produced by Associated Television International and executive produced by David McKenzie, Gay Blackstone, David Martin and Al Schwartz with co-executive producers Justin Pierce and Jim Romanovich.
