Veteran film publicist Liza Burnett Fefferman has been named senior vice president of communications for VH1 and Logo, the cable networks announced Thursday. In her new role, Fefferman will report to Kassie Canter, executive vice president of communications for Viacom’s music and entertainment Group, and serve as a member of member of VH1 and Logo general manager Chris McCarthy’s senior management team.

Fefferman will oversee communications for VH1 and Logo’s brand and content as well as awards initiatives. She joins VH1 and Logo from Radius, where she was executive vice president of publicity. Her background in the feature-film business is expected to be an asset to VH1 and Logo as the networks look to expand development in scripted, film and documentary content. At Radius, Fefferman oversaw publicity for all of the company’s releases, including “20 Feet From Stardom,” “Citizen Four,” “The Hunting Ground,” “Bachelorette,” “Snow Piercer” and “It Follows.”

“Liza is a smart, driven and talented communications executive.   She leaves no stone unturned and looks at the world through a wide lens,” said Canter.  “Liza brings tremendous energy, commitment and expertise.  I’m very much looking forward to having her on the team.

Prior to her time at Radius, Fefferman held roles at Samuel Goldwyn Films, The Weinstein Company and Dan Klores Communications.
