NBC’s coverage of the Olympics from Rio continued to boost the network above its rivals in the ratings.
The network’s broadcast of sundry track and field, beach volleyball and diving events helped it nab a 14.4 rating and 24 share, as well as a 7.0 rating among adults between 18 and 49.
The overall rating was more than double the combined total of ratings from Fox, ABC and CBS, while the 18-to-49 number was more than three times what Fox, CBS, ABC and CW reached.
Wednesday marked the twelfth day of summer games completion in Rio de Janeiro, with four more to go until the closing ceremony on Aug. 21.
Top local markets for NBC Olympics on Wednesday night included Salt Lake City (18.4/36), Denver (17.8/35), West Palm Beach (16.7/27), Columbus (16.1/28), and Austin (15.9/29)
