‘The Flash’ Reveals First Look at Kid Flash in Season 3

The CW has revealed the first look at star Keiynan Lonsdale’s Wally West in costume as Kid Flash, the hero best known in DC Comics canon as the teen sidekick to The Flash (aka Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin).

Lonsdale’s Kid Flash will make his first appearance in the Season 3 premiere of “The Flash,” titled “Flashpoint,” which airs Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. on The CW.

Last season, Wally’s father, Joe (Jesse L. Martin), was suspicious that Wally might’ve developed powers of his own after being hit with Barry’s energy during an accident at STAR Labs, but Wally displayed no obvious signs of super speed in the aftermath of the explosion.

Of course, that was before Barry chose to go back in time and save his mother, Nora, from being killed by the Reverse-Flash in the Season 2 finale, thereby changing history and disrupting the timeline — which means that we have no way of knowing what the world will look like when Barry returns to his original time, or how Wally will gain his powers. “The Flash” is also introducing “Harry Potter” alum Tom Felton as a series regular in Season 3; Felton will play Julian Dorn, a fellow CSI who works alongside Barry at the Central City Police Department and suspects there’s more to our mild-mannered hero than his good-guy reputation.

What do you think of Wally West’s new look? Weigh in below.
