CW Sets Fall Premiere Dates for 2016-17 Season

The CW will launch its fall lineup Oct. 4 with the return of “The Flash” and the premiere of the hourlong romantic comedy “No Tomorrow.”

CW is hoping to make hay on the night that also marks the date of the second of four post-convention presidential debates. The Big Four broadcast networks will be preoccupied that night with coverage of the debate between the Democratic and GOP vice presidential contenders.

Overall, CW is sticking with its traditional October rollout schedule. The network has long steered clear of the crunch of September premiere weeks.

“Arrow” returns for its fifth season Oct. 5, paired with new drama “Frequency.” “Supergirl” makes her move to the CW on Oct. 10, with its Monday 9 p.m. skedmate “Jane the Virgin” returning for season three on Oct. 17.

CW will once again carry two nights of the “IHeartRadio Musical Festival” to liven up its launch week.
