Tamar Braxton Exits as Co-Host of ‘The Real’

Tamar Braxton is bowing out of the syndicated talk show “The Real” after three years.
The singer and reality TV personality has been a regular on the Telepictures Productions roundtable show since its debut in 2013 as a summer test series on the Fox O&O stations. The show expanded nationally in the fall of 2014 and has been a solid performer to date in daytime.
The Real’ and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its upcoming third season,” according to a statement attributed to “The Real” and Braxton issued Sunday, after word of her departure began to spread online. “She will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career. Everyone associated with ‘The Real’ appreciates Tamar’s efforts and the contributions she has made to the show’s success, and we wish her all the best for the future.”
There’s no word yet on whether she will be replaced on the panel that features Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry-Housely.
Braxton is also known to viewers for her appearances on the We TV series “Braxton Family Values” and “Tamar and Vince.”
