Executive producer Bryan Fuller revealed the title of his new CBS All Access series in a teaser unveiled at Comic Con Saturday.
The new show will be called “Star Trek: Discovery.”
The one minute and 16-second teaser shows a starship pulling out of dry dock from within an asteroid. As the light move across the hull of the ship, its name is revealed to be the USS Enterpise. The ship’s registration number is NCC 1031.
Fuller revealed during Saturday’s panel that the new show will eschew the episodic storytelling of previous “Star Trek” series and instead tell a story “like a novel.”
“Star Trek: Discovery” will premiere in January on CBS, with subsequent episode being available on streaming service CBS All Access.
