Tom Hanks and Emily Blunt to Host ‘Saturday Night Live,’ Lady Gaga to Perform

Saturday Night Live” has announced two more hosts and performers for the month of October.

Emily Blunt will host the Oct. 15 show with musical guest Bruno Mars. Blunt is promoting her new film “The Girl on the Train,” which opens in theaters this weekend.

Then, on Oct. 22, Tom Hanks will take the stage, while Lady Gaga performs. Gaga’s album “Joanne” will be released a day prior on Oct. 21.

This visit will mark Hanks’ ninth time hosting the live sketch comedy show. His first appearance was in 1985. The actor’s latest film, “Inferno” — part of the “Da Vinci Code” series — hits theaters Oct. 28. He also stars in “Sully,” which opened in September.

Margot Robbie kicked off the 42nd season of “SNL” on Oct. 1 with musical guest The Weeknd. The show also introduced Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump, who will almost certainly reappear at least throughout the season. What’s more, the NBC staple is also welcoming three new cast members this season — Mikey Day, Alex Moffat, and Melissa Villaseñor. The three made their debut during the season opener as well.

“Hamilton” creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda will make his “SNL” hosting debut on Oct. 8 with music from Twenty One Pilots.
