SeriesFest Opening Night to Feature Sia Performance, ‘The Hunt’ Premiere

Sia will perform on opening night at the second annual SeriesFest in Denver, Colorado. The summer television festival will also host the North American premiere of BBC America’s “The Hunt.”

SeriesFest will kick off June 22 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The festival runs through June 26.

“We are thrilled to host Sia and present the North American Premiere of BBC America’s ‘The Hunt’ for SeriesFest: Season Two’s Opening Night,” said SeriesFest CEO Randi Kleiner. “The natural setting of Red Rocks will provide a magical backdrop to experience the majesty of ‘The Hunt’ and a rare, live performance by Sia, who continues to bring a fresh voice to storytelling through music. This is the perfect way to kick off this year’s five-day celebration of episodic storytelling.”

“We can’t think of a more stunning location than Red Rocks to premiere a show as vivid and visceral as ‘The Hunt.’ We’re excited to be a part of SeriesFest and are honored to open the festival in the company of the amazing, multi-talented Sia,” BBC America president and general manager Sarah Barnett.

Hailing from exec producers Alastair Fothergill and Huw Cordey, “The Hunt” is narrated by Sir David Attenborough. The documentary series explores the remarkable strategies employed by hunters to catch their prey and the hunted to escape.

Sia, known for her chart-toppers “Chandelier” and “Elastic Heart,” recently made a cameo appearance in Season 2 of Amazon’s “Transparent.” Her music was featured in “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
