Ryan Seacrest Productions Taps Oxygen Exec as EVP of Development & Unscripted Programming

Ryan Seacrest Productions has tapped unscripted producing vet Teri Kennedy as executive vice president of development and original unscripted programming.

Kennedy most recently was head of current production for Oxygen Media, where she spearheaded “Snapped,” “Best Ink” and “The Face.” In her 20 years of production and development experience, she has also worked on projects for ABC, MTV, NBC, Fox, E!, Discovery, USA and Bravo, including live television, talk shows, competition series, documentary and docu-series. Her credits include “Survivor” and “The Real World.”

In her new post at RSP, Kennedy will be responsible for developing, formatting and running new nonfiction series while managing and overseeing all creative and logistic day-to-day elements during the casting process, production and post-production for all new shows at the company.

Kennedy’s hiring follows RSP’s unscripted division partnering with Endemol Shine North America, which went into effect at the beginning of this year.

RSP’s busy unscripted wing is behind E!’s powerhouse “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” franchise, as well as the net’s “E! Live From the Red Carpet” award show coverage, Bravo’s “Shah’s of Sunset” and CMT’s “I Love Kellie Pickler.”

On the scripted side, which is led by Nina Wass, Seacrest’s shingle is behind NBC’s Jennifer Lopez vehicle “Shades of Blue.”
