‘This Is Us,’ ‘Westworld,’ ‘AHS: Roanoke’ Set for PaleyFest LA

The first three shows have been set for PaleyFest Los Angeles 2017 — “This Is Us,” “Westworld” and “American Horror Story: Roanoke.”

PaleyFest L.A. will be returning to the Dolby Theater next year at the 34th annual event put on by the Paley Center for Media from March 17 through March 26.

The annual panel-and-screening event brings together TV fans and television stars for a celebration of entertainment’s most acclaimed and beloved series.

The talent lineups have not been announced yet for the three shows and will at a later date.

“For 34 years PaleyFest has solidified its place as the must-attend entertainment event of the year,” said Maureen J. Reidy, president and CEO of The Paley Center for Media. “We’re proud to announce as part of our initial lineup these three very diverse and thrilling series in what promises to be our most exciting lineup yet.”

NBC’s “This Is Us” is this season’s breakthrough broadcast series. The family ensemble drama was nominated yesterday for three Golden Globes, including honors for stars Mandy Moore and Chrissy Metz, plus a big nod in the drama series category.

HBO’s “Westworld,” which wrapped up its first season last week, is the network’s latest hit. The sci-fi thriller set in a technologically advanced, Western-themed amusement park. The star-studded cast includes Anthony Hopkins, plus Golden Globe nominees Evan Rachel Wood and Thandie Newton. The high-concept series is also nominated up against “This Is Us” in the Golden Globes drama category.

American Horror Story: Roanoke” is the sixth installment of Ryan Murphy’s FX anthology phenomenon. Cuba Gooding Jr. and Sarah Paulson star.

Hulu will be the official media sponsor for PaleyFest again this year, serving as the exclusive streaming home for clips and full-length panel discussions from the fest.

PaleyFest is held bi-annually, once in Los Angeles and once in New York City.
