GIVE” from Bungalow Media + Entertainment will premiere on Saturday, Oct. 8, as part of NBC’s new three hour Saturday programming block, “The More You Know,” shedding light on environmental issues, social change, health, wellness and community engagement. In association with Litton Entertainment, Intrepid, Inc., and unite4:good,” GIVE” is executive produced by Blair Underwood, Robert Friedman, Kate Kenny, Gary Reeves, Anthony Melikhov, Chad Warren, Maria Simone, Dave Morgan and Pete Sniderman.

WGN America‘s original drama Outsiders” will return for Season 2 on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017. “Outsiders” stars David Morse, Thomas M. Wright, Ryan Hurst, Gillian Alexy, Kyle Gallner and Christina Jackson.

DIGITAL NEWS

Viacom announced on Tuesday that its portfolio of networks — Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, Spike, BET, CMT, TV Land, Nick at Nite, Nick Jr., and Logo — will all launch on the new AT&T streaming service DIRECTV NOW, which will offer customers access to more than 100 channels, including live and on-demand programming, plus premium add-on options. The streaming service is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2016.

Acorn Media Enterprises has partnered with All3Media International and BBC to produce the new drama series “Close To The Enemy.” From filmmaker Stephen Poliakoff (“Perfect Strangers”), the series stars Jim Sturgess (“Across the Universe”), Alfie Allen (“Game of Thrones”), Alfred Molina (“Matador”), Angela Bassett (“American Horror Story”) and Freddie Highmore (“Bates Motel”). The seven-part series will make its U.S. premiere on Acorn TV in late 2016.

Nickelodeon has named Jennifer Tracy, Senior Vice President, Franchise and Partner Marketing.

“[Tracy] is a digital native with a proven strategic marketing background. We’re excited to expand her responsibilities to include development of multi-platform strategies on behalf of Nickelodeon’s franchise properties,” said Sharon Cohen, EVP of Partner Marketing, and Anne Mullen, EVP of Creative and Marketing, Franchises and Preschool.

In her new role, Tracy will develop strategic and innovative franchise marketing campaigns to ensure the growth of Nick’s key properties. She will also expand her current responsibilities to include oversight of consumer marketing audience acquisition, customer relationship management and social content for some of Nickelodeon’s  most iconic franchises.
