CBS Romantic Comedy Pilot ‘My Time/Your Time’ Finds Male Lead

Nick Braun has been cast as the male co-star in CBS’ romantic comedy pilot “My Time/Your Time,” which chronicles the relationship of a young couple dating long distance, Variety has learned.

Braun joins Jane Levy (“Suburgatory”), who will play the other half of the couple in the pilot, which will be exec produced by “How I Met Your Mother” creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas.

Braun will play Wade, a charming guy who’s always had things come easy for him — friends, girls, jobs — which is why he decided to move to L.A. and give the big city a shot. Real adult life turns out to be a shock, and it’s a lot harder to get what he wants than he realized, but he’s actually looking for something bigger, though he doesn’t know it yet. Levy, who plays Braun’s on-screen girlfriend, will play Marla, an inherent optimist living in New York City who wants to be a playwright but is having trouble breaking away from a traditional life for that of an artist.

Braun’s other credits include “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”; “Poltergeist”; “How to Be Single,” which hits theaters this weekend; and the upcoming “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot,” alongside Tina Fey.

Written by Hilary Winston, “My Time/Your Time” is based on the Web series “7P/10E” by Avital Ash. Winston, Bays and Thomas will all serve as exec producers, along with “How I Met Your Mother” alum Pamela Fryman, who will direct the pilot. CBS Television Studios and Sony Pictures Television will produce.

Braun is repped by UTA, Brillstein and Jamie Mandelbaum.
