2016 Olympics Viewers Guide: What to Stream and Watch on TV on Day 9

The following 2016 Olympic events will be shown on NBC networks Sunday, August 14, 2016. Highlights from the Olympics schedule include Team USA basketball group play, golf, gold medal tennis matches, beach volleyball quarterfinals, gymnastics event finals, and track and field sprint finals.

Women’s Basketball: China vs. United States (11:15am ET LIVE NBC, Live Stream)

The undefeated U.S. women take on China in the final round of group play.

Men’s Tennis: Andy Murray vs. Juan Martin del Potro (11:00am ET LIVE Bravo, Live Stream)

Argentinian Juan Martin del Potro upset Rafael Nadal to earn a spot in the gold medal match versus Andy Murray. Nadal faces Kei Nishikori in the consolation match beginning at 9:30am ET.

Men’s Basketball: United States vs. France (1:15pm ET LIVE NBCSN and Telemundo, Live Stream)

The U.S. men haven’t been as dominant as their female counterparts. They still have yet to drop a game, but face a formidable foe in France. The French roster includes NBA players Tony Parker, Nic Batum, Boris Diaw and Rudy Gobert.

Men’s Golf: Final round (1pm ET NBC LIVE, 1pm PT NBC Taped, Live Stream)

The first golf medals in 104 years will be awarded in Rio on Sunday.

Gymnastics Individual Event Finals: Men’s Floor, Women’s Vault, Men’s Pommel Horse, Women’s Bars (1pm ET Live Stream, 7pm ET NBC Taped/7pm PT NBC Taped)

Four event finals will be contested Sunday. All-around champion Simone Biles is entered in the vault, while her teammates Gabby Douglas and Madison Kocian will compete on the uneven bars. On the men’s floor, watch for Kenzo Shirai and Kohei Uchimura of Japan as standouts.

Track & Field: Men’s 100M Final (9:25pm ET LIVE NBC, 9:25pm PT Taped NBC, Live Stream)

Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt is chasing the unprecedented triple-triple golds in his events at the Rio games this year.

Usain Bolt may cement his status as the greatest sprinter of all time with his third consecutive gold in the 100m dash.

Women’s Volleyball: United States vs. China (4pm ET LIVE NBC/4pm PT Taped, Live Stream)

Like the basketball team, the U.S. women’s volleyball team also face China in final group play. China has won five Olympic medals, so unlike basketball the teams are more evenly matched.

Women’s Beach Volleyball: USA vs. Australia (10 or 11pm ET LIVE NBC/10 or 11pm PT Taped)

The 37-year-old U.S. Olympic volleyball player is seeking her fourth consecutive gold medal in Rio.

Quarterfinal matches will be held Sunday. Kerri Jennings Walsh and April Ross face off against two powerhouse players from Australia: Louise Bawden and Taliqua Clancy.
