On the NBC police dramedy — which is toplined by Debra Messing — the “Orange Is the New Black” star will play Rachel, the media consultant to Cuban presidential candidate Carlos Ibanez (who will be played by James Martinez). Reiner’s episode is filming at the UN, marking the second production in history to film there. Years ago, NBC’s own “Law & Order: SVU” filmed there and was the first show to do so.
The episode is slated for No. 14 of the current second season, which should air sometime in February.
Other than Netflix’s “OITNB,” Reiner’s other television credits include “How to Get Away With Murder,” “Bones” and “Hawaii Five-O.” On the film side, she co-stars in Anna Gunn’s upcoming “Equity,” which is touted as the first female-driven Wall Street movie.
Reiner is repped by Harden-Curtis Associates, Abrams Artists Agency and Affirmative Entertainment.
