In today’s TV news roundup, “New Girl” actress Hannah Simone will host a new survival competition series on Fox. Plus, the WNBA is launching a new subscription package to commemorate the league’s 20th season.
The show pairs 10 survivalists with 10 nature novices, and each unlikely duo will be placed in a tropical jungle in Fiji where they’ll face the dangers of wildlife, extreme weather and hunger. “Fear Factor” alum Matt Kunitz will exec produce.
To celebrate the WNBA’s 20th season, the league announced on Monday that it will launch WNBA League Pass, a new full-season live subscription package to out-of-market games that will include an option for single-game and team-pass options. A similar package began last year by the NBA, establishing all-time records for game views, minutes viewed and digital subscriptions.
The new live game service, formerly called WNBA LiveAccess, will be available through WNBA.com and the WNBA App on iOS and Android devices, as well as on Apple TV (4thgeneration) and Chromecast through the WNBA App.
