Jerry Bruckheimer is a supporter of Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush, and now, the mega-producer has some positive words to share about his competitor Donald Trump.

“Listen, he’s an interesting, very successful man. He’s very smart,” Bruckheimer told Variety at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, Calif., where he was on hand to support his upcoming Fox series “Lucifer,” which premieres Jan. 25. He added, “The American people will decide who they want to support.”

Asked about his thoughts on the current state of the race, Bruckheimer said, “I think it’s very interesting. It will be interesting to see how it shakes out in the next two to three months and we’ll see where the candidates will be on both sides. It’s heating up with Democrats and Republicans.”

Though he confirmed he supports Bush with a simple “yes” and shared kind words about Trump, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “CSI” producer stayed mum on whom he’s in total favor. “I like ’em all,” he said. “I want to see who comes out ahead and I’ll support who I believe will be best for our country.”

Bruckheimer donated to John McCain’s election campaign during the 2008 presidential race. He also contributed to Mitt Romney’s 2012 Victory Fund and reportedly offered more than $50,000 to Republican efforts.

While Bruckheimer didn’t overtly state that he’s backing Trump in the 2016 race, others in Hollywood have expressed their support for the real estate tycoon, including Charlie Sheen, Mike Tyson, Stephen Baldwin, Gary Busey, Lou Ferrigno, Tila Tequila, former NFL player Terrell Owens and “Duck Dynasty” reality star Willie Robertson.
