Longtime USA Network exec Jackie de Crinis has set an overall deal with Universal Cable Productions and joined the upcoming USA drama “Eyewitness” as an exec producer.
De Crinis’ shift from her role as exec VP of original programming follows the restructuring that NBCU Cable Entertainment unveiled in February. As part of that shift, former Syfy and USA programming exec Bill McGoldrick was upped to an exec VP post overseeing scripted programming for four cablers: USA, Syfy, Bravo and E!
“I’m thrilled to join Universal Cable Productions and to continue to be an extension of the NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment family,” said de Crinis. “I am so proud of the work we have done over the last 16 years at USA, but I have always wanted to produce my own projects. The time was finally right.”
During her long run at USA, de Crinis was a key member of the team that took the cabler forcefully into original series production. She oversaw development for the network of such series as “Mr. Robot,” “Royal Pains,” “Suits,” “Psych” and “Playing House.” She also helped launch USA’s first tentpole drama, “Monk.”
“Jackie is an exceptional talent and has developed some of the most iconic shows on television,” said Dawn Olmstead, exec VP of Universal Cable Productions.
“Eyewitness” is UCP’s adaptation of the Norwegian crime drama, panned by Adi Hasak (“Shades of Blue”).
Before USA, de Crinis worked as a programming exec at ABC, 20th Century Fox TV and TriStar.
