ITV Studios America has tapped Jerry Bruckheimer Television exec Michael Azzolino as Executive Vice President, Creative Affairs, Variety has learned. In the LA-based post, effective June 13, Azzolino will oversee development and current operations for the growing lineup of scripted television programming produced by ITV Studios in the U.S., reporting to ITV Studios America President Philippe Maigret.

“Michael will bring with him deep relationships in the creative community and his considerable experience in the development and production of hit television programming,” said Maigret. “I am thrilled that he will be joining the ITV Studios America team as we build a creatively and commercially ambitious scripted TV business.”

“After 11 phenomenal years at Jerry Bruckheimer Television, I am excited to join Philippe and his team at ITV Studios America,” Azzolino addded. “The studio is building an incredible environment for creatives to take advantage of the many opportunities available in our ever-evolving marketplace.”

At Jerry Bruckheimer TV, Azzolino was SVP, and was responsible for all aspects of new project development, pilots and current series production. Over his 11 years with the company, he worked on shows including “Lucifer,” the “CSI” franchise, “Without a Trace,” “Cold Case,” and CBS’ upcoming drama series “Training Day.”

Prior to JBTV, Azzolino started his career at NBC before joining WB Television Network and eventually transitioning to CBS Productions as Director, Drama Series, overseeing drama development and current programming for the studio.
