Investigation Discovery is teaming up with People magazine for a new true crime series. “People Magazine Investigates” will premiere Monday, Nov. 7 on the channel with a two-hour installment focusing on the 2010 rash of murders of Long Island escorts.

The 10-part docuseries will draw on investigations and reporting from the People true crime editorial team. Each episode delves into a different true-life horrorshow, going as far back in time as 1970 and as far afield as the tiny town of Craig, Alaska.

“Investigation Discovery is thrilled to partner with People on their exclusive television series. With some of the best reporters in the world, their dedication to getting to the bottom of the stories that matter to us, shines through every episode,” said Henry Schlieff, group president of ID and other Discovery networks American Heroes Channel and Destination America.

In an effort to boost its fledgling over-the-top network The People/Entertainment Weekly Network (PEN), three of the “People Magazine Investigates” episodes will have after-shows on PEN.

And yes, in keeping with the current mania over the 20th anniversary over the murder of JonBenet Ramsey, there is a JonBenet episode, airing Dec. 19.

“People Magazine Investigates” is produced for Investigation Discovery by Radley Studios and People Productions. Check out the trailer below.
