The stars of “High School Musical” recently got back together. Well, most of them at least.
In honor of the Disney Channel movie’s 10th Anniversary, stars Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman will appear together in a special telecast of the pic.
Zac Efron, who didn’t attend Sunday’s “High School Musical” shoot in Los Angeles, will appear in the telecast in a pre-taped segment.
“Seeing the cast of High School Musical back together again reaffirms what made it special 10 years ago,” said Gary Marsh, president of Disney Channels Worldwide. “Ten years later, the movie continues to delight audiences around the globe, not just for its memorable song and dance numbers, but for its universal themes that continue to resonate with fans everywhere.”
The “High School Musical” special will air Jan. 20 on the Disney Channel.
The original telepic first debuted on Jan. 20, 2006, drawing a stellar 7.7 million viewers.
