Endemol Shine North America has named Rob Day executive vice president, head of unscripted production for the company’s unscripted division, Endemol Shine USA. The company also tapped Jesse Kerns as senior vice president, unscripted production and Kirk Anderson as vice president, unscripted production for the unit. Both executives will report to Day.
An Endemol veteran prior to that company’s merger with Shine Group and Core Media last year, Day has been with the company since 2006. He currently oversees production on “MasterChef,” “MasterChef Junior,” “The Biggest Loser,” “Hunted,” “Billion Dollar Buyer,” “Superhuman” and daytime syndicated show “Steve Harvey.” Before joining Endemol USA, Day was executive in charge of production for ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”
“Rob is the consummate professional and has a tremendous amount of experience in both coordinating and producing many of the biggest unscripted hits of the last decade,” said Eden Gaha, president of unscripted television for Endemol Shine USA, to whom Day will report. “And with our continued growth in the unscripted space, Rob has assembled a best in class team, led by both Jesse and Kirk, to oversee all of our additional development and series.”
Kerns joins Endemol Shine from Relativity Television, where he was senior vice president of production and oversaw production of all the company’s unscripted TV projects since 2012. Anderson has been with Endemol shine since 2012, having previously served as executive director of production.
