Donald Trump and the person believed to be his running mate in the race for U.S. President are expected to take part in an interview tomorrow that will appear on CBS’ “60 Minutes,” according to people familiar with the situation.
Trump and Mike Pence, the Republican governor of Indiana, are expected to meet with “60 Minutes” correspondent Lesley Stahl tomorrow, these people said. While “60 Minutes” likely would not break the news of the official naming of Pence as Trump’s selection for vice president, the show would likely have the first in-depth interview with the pair.
The show does not make announcements about interviews that its reporters secure.
The Indianapolis Star reported Thursday that Pence had dropped his bid for re-election in Indiana in order to join Trump on the road to the White House.
