“Comedy Bang! Bang!” will soon have its last laugh.

Series creator Scott Aukerman — who also stars  — announced on Twitter that the show would be ending after a five-season run on IFC. The network confirmed the news to Variety.

A hybrid of mock talkshow combined with offbeat sketches, “Comedy Bang! Bang” — which was spun off from Aukerman’s podcast — has attracted guests including Jon Hamm, Anna Kendrick and Weird Al Yankovic.

The show, which premiered in June 2012, will have a final run of episodes in October. Aukerman posted a series of tweets thanking fans, his guests and IFC for their support throughout the show’s run.

“‘Comedy Bang! Bang!’ has been an incredibly important show for IFC. Over five seasons and more than 100 episodes, Scott Aukerman has been a comedic force who has meant so much to us,” said IFC president Jennifer Caserta. “Comedy Bang! Bang! had a unique sensibility in the comedy space, and delivered an amazing array of A-list guest stars. Scott and his team worked with our advertising partners in ways that were as buzzy as the jokes. We are proud to celebrate ‘Comedy Bang! Bang!’ across this final 10-episode send-off and appreciate everything it has meant to IFC.”

Guest stars booked for the final season include: Malin Akerman, Mike Colter, Kaley Cuoco, Ben Folds, Gillian Jacobs, Allison Janney, Haley Joel Osment, Krysten Ritter, Adam Scott, Matt Walsh, and former co-host Reggie Watts.

The final season will premiere October 28 with the series finale set to air December 10.
