‘Chicago Justice’ Sets Michael Chernuchin as Showrunner

Michael S. Chernuchin has been named executive producer and showrunner for the upcoming NBC drama “Chicago Justice.” The series is a spinoff from the Dick Wolf-produced stable of procedural dramas that includes “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago Med” and “Chicago PD.”

Chernuchin was a a writer and executive producer on Wolf’s “Law & Order” and served as showrunner on the series from 2002 to 2004. He also served as an executive producer on “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.”

Chernuchin was most recently executive producer of the Audience Network’s “Rogue” as well as on Starz’s original series “Black Sails.” He also served as a consultant on Fox’s “24.”

Also serving as exec producers on “Chicago Justice” are Wolf, Matt Olmstead, Derek Haas, Michael Brandt, Arthur Forney and Peter Jankowski. The series is produced by Universal Television and Wolf Films and is set for a midseason premiere on NBC.

Chernuchin is represented by Paradigm and managed by Any Weiss at Brillstein Entertainment Partners. His lawyer is Robert S. Getman at Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum Morris & Klein.
