NBC’s “Blindspot” has already seen plenty of casualties in Season 1 so far, but one of the cruelest early deaths was the loss of Patterson’s (Ashley Johnson) boyfriend David (Joe Dinicol), who was killed back in Episode 9.
That loss is still keenly felt in Episode 16, “Any Wounded Thief,” and in Variety’s exclusive sneak peek at the new installment, we see Patterson struggling to move on following an unexpected phone call. Thankfully, Dr. Borden (Ukweli Roach) is on hand to offer some wisdom, free of charge.
Elsewhere in the episode, airing April 4, after an armored truck is robbed, the team discovers that the stolen goods are chemical weapons and they must race to thwart a terrorist plot. Meanwhile, Jane (Jaimie Alexander) grapples with a confusing memory of Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) — while growing even closer to Oscar (guest star Francois Arnaud). The series also stars Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Rob Brown and Audrey Esparza.
“Blindspot” airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on NBC. The show has already been renewed for Season 2, and secured a streaming deal with Hulu following the conclusion of its freshman season as part of a pact between the service and Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.
