“The Bachelorette” finally came to a close last night as JoJo Fletcher handed out her final rose to Jordan Rodgers, who had been a frontrunner since day one. Now, the happy couple can actually be seen in public together and enjoy being somewhat of a “normal” couple.
Fletcher and Rodgers spoke to Variety and other outlets early Tuesday morning after their big proposal. The couple discusses whether or not there’s a reality TV future for them, who they think will be the next “Bachelor,” and if we’ll see Rodgers’ brother at their wedding.
Will NFL star Aaron Rodgers attend the wedding?
Fletcher’s mother, Soraya, has a very large list of guests to invite to the wedding, but whether or not Jordan’s brother, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, will be attending the wedding, that’s still up in the air.
“There’s no scenario in which I wouldn’t want my entire family at a wedding,” said Rodgers. “It’s going to be a big wedding.”
“I went into this knowing that it was a TV show and I only had a small opportunity on camera to tell JoJo everything that I needed to in order to get to a place where we could be engaged and family stuff is part of that. There’s a lot of people we were excited to share this moment with and that’s what we’re focusing on,” he added.
Is another reality show or a TV wedding on the horizon?
Right now, the couple is focused on their upcoming nuptials, and not much else, but that doesn’t rule out a TV show in the future.
“Whatever comes our way, that’s something we’ll discuss and we’ll just see what works for us and what’s best for our relationship,” said Fletcher.
As for a televised wedding, something that’s very popular among reality TV alumni, the pair still hasn’t gotten around to discussing it.
“We’re just kind of getting to settle a little bit. I think once we decompress, take it all in, that’s something that we would be open to if that made sense. Either way we’d still be looking forward to it,” she added.
Who would they nominate for “The Bachelor”?
“I got to know these guys so well. Chase and Luke both were two men that I cared so much for and made an impression on my heart and I think they’re both so deserving — they’re both different — I don’t think you can go wrong with either one. They’re fan favorites, America loves them,” said Fletcher.
“Luke is kind of quintessential ‘Bachelor’: He’s a war veteran, a Texas guy, he can ride a horse — I can’t do that. And Chase, I think people fell in love with him for much different reasons as he kind of let his walls down and opened up,” said Rodgers. “If I had to throw in my hat of two dark horses, I would love to see James Taylor and/or Wells Adams get a shot at finding that special someone.”
But why wasn’t Robby, the runner-up, in the mix for the next bachelor?
“I’m just getting overwhelming responses to Luke and Chase just from how fans are reacting so those are the frontrunners as of right now. But Robby would be great, I think everyone is so deserving of love. I had such a great group of men,” said Fletcher.
No matter who it is, the couple will “absolutely” be watching next season.
