The announcements were made as part of the Turner-owned network’s presentation at the annual Television Critics Association summer press tour in Beverly Hills.
Aziz Ansari, Jon Hamm, Lupita N’yong’o, John Oliver and Seth Rogen are among those set to appear with Billy Eichner in his variety sketch series “Billy on the Street,” in which he hits the streets of New York City to test unsuspecting passersby. In the show’s recently-wrapped fourth season, Eichner was joined by Chris Pratt, Tina Fey, Will Ferrell, Anna Kendrick, Sarah Jessica Parker and Julianne Moore.
The series, which is produced by Funny or Die, is executive-produced by Mike Farah, along with Eichner, Anna Wenger and Doug Brady.
TruTV also announced that Adam Conover, host of “Adam Ruins Everything,” will bring his analytical approach to the upcoming presidential election. The special is set to air Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 10 p.m.
New episodes of “Adam Ruins Everything” will premiere on truTV on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at 10 p.m. The series is produced by Big Breakfast with Conover, Sam Reich, Spencer Griffin and Jon Cohen serving as executive producers.
