‘Tyrant,’ ‘Preacher,’ ‘The 100’ Showrunner Added to ATX Television Festival Lineup

ATX Television Festival is filling out its lineup. The annual Austin summer fest has added screenings and panels for FX’s “Tyrant,” AMC’s “Preacher,” TV Land’s “Jim Gaffigan Show” and Freeform’s upcoming horror anthology series “Dead of Summer.”

Additionally, ATX will host a panel with first-time showrunners including “Colony’s” Ryan Condal, “The 100’s” Jason Rothenberg, “Casual’s” Zander Lehmann and “UnReal’s” Sarah Shapiro. Plus, another new addition: a panel featuring TV stunt performers and actors.

A friend of the fest, “Fargo” creator Noah Hawley will also have a conversation, moderated by “House of Cards” creator Beau Willimon. Previously announced, Willimon is also mdoerating a conversation with David Simon and Tom Fontana.

The stunt coordination panel will feature actors Adrianne Palicki (“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD”) and Derek Phillips (“Friday Night Lights”), along with stunt performers Nick Benseman (“Agent X”), Nikki Tomlinson (“The Walking Dead”) and Torrey Vogel (“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD”).

The new panels join the previously announced panels for shows including “Younger,” “UnReal,” “Casual;” plus a “Friday Night Lights” reunion; an “Everybody Loves Raymond” 20-year reunion; “State of Grace” reunion; “The Shield” writers room reunion; a script reading of the never-picked-up pilot “Big;” and a script reading and writers room reunion for “The O.C.,” which will be presented by CW Seed. Panels include Betsy Beers, Kurt Sutter, Jennie Snyder Urman, Hart Hanson and Krista Vernoff, and Norman Lear will receive this year’s ATX Award for Television Excellence.

The fifth annual ATX Festival heads to Austin, Texas June 9 through 12.
