A+E Networks is expanding its global management team with the appointments of Patrick Vien and Edward Sabin as executive managing directors and co-heads of international.

The pair will report to Sean Cohan, A+E Networks’ president of international and digital media.

Vien, an alum of Warner Music International and NBCUniversal’s international TV wing, comes to the company from Pulse Films. Based in New York, Vien will have oversight of A+E’s businesses in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He’ll oversee the programming strategy and acquisitions for all A+E channels outside the U.S. as well as sales of A+E programming outside the U.S.

Sabin, based in Los Angeles, will oversee activity in Latin America, Canada, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. He also steers the company’s global operations team and spearheads production of A+E formats. Sabin joined A+E last year as managing director of the Americas and head of commercial operations.

“Vien’s appointment and Sabin’s elevation will support A+E Networks’ rapidly expanding global footprint across all platforms for both long and short-form entertainment,” said Cohan. “Sabin has played a leading role in the growth of our operations globally and is supremely suited to keeping A+E Networks in pace with the marketplace moving forward.”
