Wild Bunch TV, the television banner created by the pan-European film company a year ago, is set to launch three new shows, “Mama’s Angel,” “Tytgat Chocolate,” and “The Exchange Principle,” at Mipcom.
Created by Keren Weissman, “Mama’s Angel” is a 10-episode Israeli psychological drama series exploring life in a wealthy Tel Aviv suburb devastated by the brutal murder of a young boy and the ensuing police investigation. “Mama’s Angel” is produced by Black Sheep Film Productions for YES TV.
A seven-part Flemish drama series, “Tytgat Chocolate” is a road-trip romance following a man who embarks, along with his mentally challenged co-workers at a chocolate factory, on a journey to find his sweetheart, who has been deported to her native Kosovo. Marc Bryssinck and Filip Lenaerts are writing and directing the series, which is produced by deMENSEN for VRT.
Another Israeli drama, “The Exchange Principle,” is a 10-episode thriller series created by Noah Stollman and Oded Davidoff, the creative duo behind “Someone to Run With” and “Pillars of Smoke.” The series tells the story of a highly respected forensics investigator-turned-vagrant who teams up with a quirky young prosecutor to face off with Israel’s police force and legal system. The series is produced by United Studios of Israel for Hot Cable.
Dedicating to developing, co-producing/co-financing, and selling international TV series, Wild Bunch TV kicked off last year with “Medici: Masters of Florence” (pictured above) and the Spanish-language show “Four Seasons in Havana.”
“Medici” will have its premiere on Oct. 14 in Florence.
