In this week’s edition of the Variety Movie Commercial Tracker, powered by iSpot.tv, Sony Pictures claims the top spot in TV ad spending with “The Angry Birds Movie.”
Ads placed for the animated film had an estimated media value of $4.74 million through Sunday, for 933 national ad airings across 37 networks. Behind it in second place: Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War,” which saw 981 national ad airings across 37 networks, with an estimated media value of $4.51 million.
TV ad placements for Universal Pictures’ “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” (EMV: $4.05 million), Warner Bros.’ “The Nice Guys” ($3.85 million) and TriStar Pictures’ “Money Monster” ($3.85 million) round out the chart.
