In this week’s edition of the Variety Movie Commercial Tracker, powered by iSpot.tv, Walt Disney Animation claims the top spot in TV ad spending with “Moana.”
Ads placed for the animated fantasy film had an estimated media value of $5.52 million through Sunday for 834 national ad airings across 33 networks. Behind it in second place: Warner Bros.’ “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” which saw 1,046 national ad airings across 50 networks, with an estimated media value of $5.27 million.
TV ad placements for Open Road Films’ “Bleed for This” (EMV: $3.86 million), Broad Green Pictures’ “Bad Santa 2” ($3.58 million) and Twentieth Century Fox’s “Rules Don’t Apply” ($3.32 million) round out the chart.
