Open Road Films has set April 7 for the release of Zoey Deutch’s comedy-drama “Before I Fall.”

The film is directed by Ry Russo-Young from a script by Maria Maggenti and Gina Prince-Bythewood, based on the 2010 novel of same name by Lauren Oliver, in which a charmed young woman is stuck reliving the day of her death during one inexplicable week. She untangles the mystery surrounding her death—and discovers the true value of everything she is in danger of losing.

The film also stars Halston Sage, Logan Miller, Kian Lawley, Jennifer Beals, Diego Boneta, and Elena Kampouris. Principal photography took place in the late fall in the Pacific Northwest.

Producers are Brian Robbins, Matt Kaplan and Jon Shestack for the Awesomeness Films’ title.

“Before I Fall” joins four other releases on April 7: Lionsgate’s “Wonder,” New Line’s remake of “Going in Style,” Sony’s animated “Smurfs: The Lost Village” and High Top’s horror film “Sleight.”
