In a pre-Cannes Film Festival move, XYZ Films has hired veteran executive Eric Min as head of international sales.

Based out of Los Angeles, Min will be spearheading international sales at the upcoming Cannes market. XYZ partner Nate Bolotin will continue to oversee sales strategy and remain directly responsible for certain key territories and buyers.

Min has served as executive VP for film and TV for Aldamisa Entertainment, handling all aspects of worldwide sales, distribution and acquisitions. While at Aldamisa, he worked on the films “Chef” and “Machete Kills.”

Prior to that, he was VP of international sales and distribution for Seven Arts Pictures.

XYZ said Min’s hire reflects the company’s continued expansion, highlighted by the recent announcement of Mette Marie-Katz overseeing feature and TV development, and Tamir Ardon joining the company as director of international distribution. “I have a deep respect for XYZ’s passion for filmmaking and commitment to innovation outside of the boundaries,” he said.

XYZ Films is currently producing and handling sales for “6 Days,” starring Jamie Bell, Mark Strong and Abbie Cornish; the action-thriller “Pilgrimage,” starring Jon Bernthal, Richard Armitage and Tom Holland; and “I Kill Giants,” directed by Anders Walter and produced by Chris Columbus, Man of Action Entertainment and XYZ.
