‘Star Trek’ Movie Marathon to Screen ‘Star Trek Beyond’ Ahead of Release

In addition to an early screening at this year’s San Diego ComicCon, Trekkies will also be able to enjoy a preview of “Star Trek Beyond” as part of a “Star Trek” movie marathon starting on July 20. The screenings will be held at select IMAX and premium theaters across the U.S. and Canada, and will include the three films from the rebooted franchise, culminating in the newest installment.

Attendees will also receive a collector’s poster designed by an artist from Gallery1988 and a Starfleet T-shirt patch.

Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, John Cho and Simon Pegg return as the Enterprise Crew to face their newest foe — Krall, played by Idris Elba. Directed by Justin Lin of “Fast & Furious 6,” he sci-fi pic also stars the late Anton Yelchin, who died in June.
